Rylan listened to Grammy reading "The Night Before Christmas" almost non-stop.
I think I just about have the poem memorized by now!
Checking out our new "Elf on the Shelf". Rylan wanted to name him "Astro boy" after a strange Japanese cartoon character. Great... After gently making a few other suggestions, I think we have settled on "Fly", because according to the story, the elf flies back to Santa each night to report on the kids' behavior. Last night he hid on Charlton's armoir upstairs and this morning he was waiting on the light fixture over our table. I hope this will be a special new family tradition and I think it will be fun to search for him with Rylan each day. Thanks Grammy!
